“Few things in the world
are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope.
A 'you can do it' when things are tough.” - Richard M. DeVos
What is optimism? This
question used to pop up before me as a child. My father would explain to me
that it is the tendency of a man to look for the positive side of any situation
and belief that things will sort out leading to a better future.
Like every other human
being I have also been through tough phases in my life. Suicidal thoughts have
come to me at some stages of my life. But then I have always found someone who
would come and give me that warmth of love which would keep me going and help
me emerge stronger than earlier. My near and dear ones have been such a great
asset to me all through my life. One such moment came few years back when I was
finding myself alone amidst a clutch of scheming colleagues who would leave no
chance of spreading false rumours about me with the sole objective of maligning
me. Actually, these things are common in lives of civil servants. At such a
tough time, an angel came in my life and gave me the support I needed then. As
they say, man often becomes what he believes himself to be. I started believing
more in my abilities and the truth in me provided me the fearlessness. Even
then you need someone to provide you that moral support, that push to take on
the world.
Let me tell you it’s fun
to be an optimist. It actually works. When you are feeling low, just go and
meet your best friend. Have a chat about the sexy Katrina or just whistle
around and you would suddenly found that the world is not that bad a place.
In India one of the
biggest sources of pessimism in masses is inflation. Rising cost of living
makes living less enjoyable. And if you think of real estate prices, they are a
major cause of depression among millions of Indians. Every person wants to have
his or her home. We all would love to buy a house where we would find our own
space in this crowded and maddening world. But, alas, when you start looking
for buying a house you end up having a harrowing time. Not only the prices,
even the procedural difficulties in finding a reasonably priced house is also
very taxing for common man. In these tmes, www.housing.com
has come as a relief, a source of hope for many people like me. I am sure this
will prove very useful in making lives of thousands of Indians more pleasant
and meaningful. It certainly adds value and like a friend it shows you the
right direction in your endeavor to buy yourself a house. Go check https://housing.com/lookup .
